| If you’re wondering what happened to the smiling young girl who used to win all the fiddle competitiions – well now you know. This is Carmen’s debut album and contains a mixture of Scottish, Irish and self-penned tunes played in both traditional and contemporary styles. A close relation of the great Jeannie Robertson and her daughter Lizzie Higgins, Carmen went on to play with Shetland fiddle band Rock, Salt and Nails before becoming a founder member of Aberdeen band, The Old Blind Dogs. | ||
| As you would expect for someone with Carmen’s pedigree, her astonishing talent shines through in every track. A great album for fiddle lovers. | ||
