Kirrie
fiddler Jim Cameron first found recording success in 1933 as a solo
artiste on the famous Beltona label.
Later he combined with his brothers to make further recordings as
‘The Cameron Men’ and also as a trio with Jimmy Shand and Sandy Moir
on accordion and piano. |
||
| Following the second world war, Jim Cameron’s Scottish Dance Band became Beltona’s biggest earner rivalling the success of Cameron’s great friend Jimmy Shand on Parlophone. | ||
| The recordings on this CD were made in a period between 12th December 1949 and 24th May 1951 at venues in London and Glasgow. They have been played into computer, digitally improved and then remastered to CD. Over 74 minutes of good old fashioned music. | ||
